About The Location

Key West is an island at the end of the chain of the Florida Keys.   It connects to the mainland (Miami) by US Highway 1 which uses a series of bridges to link the islands of the change (a 4 hour drive from Miami).   It is a popular vacation destination which gives visitors the feeling of the Caribbean without leaving the USA., about a 4 hour drive from Miami Florida.

Key West is a small island, just two miles by four miles. Just about everything is a short walk or bicycle ride away. Limited public transportation is also available; however bus schedules are very limited. Many participants purchase bicycles or simply walk.

  • Front Office $17 per hour

  • Food and Beverage Intern $15 per hour

 
Housing Details

Dorm room style rooms, shared bedrooms with same gender.  Up to six people per unit with two people sharing a room.  Common cooking space and bathroom to be shared.  Rent is $200 per person per week (includes all utilities, cable  and Wifi  not included).  Security deposit same as one month rent.  Housing is estimated 2 miles from property.  

 
Arrival

Fly to Key West International Airport (EYW), take Uber Or Taxi (approximately 20min) to resort.  If you fly into Miami participants are responsible for the cost of transportation from Miami to Key West. Miami International Airport, located 150 miles north of Key West a 4-hour drive.   You may also travel to Key West via bus from Miami International Airport. Additional Details​
  • Participant will need to purchase non-skid shoes with no logo. Bring black or tan pants.  Shirt will be provided.

  • Discounted daily meals, and weekly free luncheons.

  • Cultural exchange activities including employee gatherings, music and arts festivals, historical learning opportunities.

  • Common transportation is biking
